Brittany Parrott is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who brings empathy, honesty, and collaboration to her work with adolescents and adults. With 7 years of clinical experience, Brittany specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, disordered eating, OCD, and self-esteem and self-image concerns. She also has a strong focus on supporting athletes with sports-related anxiety, identity transitions, and performance pressure.

Brittany earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rutgers University and is a Certified Sports Social Worker. She is currently completing additional certifications in trauma-informed care and eating disorder treatment to further deepen her work with individuals navigating complex emotional and relational challenges.

Her therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and strength-based techniques. Brittany tailors each session to the unique needs of her clients, believing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Through building rapport and mutual understanding, she helps clients clarify their goals and feel supported in working toward them in a way that feels authentic and empowering.

Clients working with Brittany can expect a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where their voice is prioritized. She balances emotional support with honest reflection and is known for her ability to hold space while also encouraging growth. She works closely with clients to reflect on their progress and adjust the therapeutic focus as needed—ensuring the process remains collaborative and client-led.

Brittany is LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally competent, and trauma-informed. She works with clients from early adolescence through middle adulthood and is passionate about helping individuals reconnect with themselves, manage life’s stressors, and build confidence in their ability to handle what comes next.

She was drawn to the field of social work at a young age, knowing she wanted a career that would allow her to walk alongside others in their growth. For Brittany, the most meaningful moments are the small, powerful shifts when a client recognizes their own progress—the “I feel lighter” moments that signal meaningful transformation.

Outside of the therapy room, Brittany enjoys traveling, trying new foods, spending time with family and friends, reading, and binge-watching just about any kind of TV show. Her self-care includes exercise, journaling, yoga, and getting outside for some fresh air.

A favorite phrase she often shares with clients is:

“Be present and take things one day at a time.”
