Eating Disorder Treatment & Disordered Eating Support

Compassionate Care for Disordered Eating

At Mind, Body, and Soul Therapy & Counseling, we understand that eating struggles can be complex, personal, and deeply rooted. Whether you're navigating body image concerns, emotional eating, bingeing, purging, restrictive behaviors, or a complicated relationship with food, you're not alone—and help is available.

Our approach to disordered eating is individualized, trauma-informed, and rooted in understanding the whole person—not just the symptoms.

How Individual Therapy Can Help

Individual therapy offers a supportive, one-on-one space to:

  • Explore the emotional, relational, and psychological factors contributing to disordered eating

  • Address co-occurring concerns such as anxiety, depression, perfectionism, trauma, or related self-esteem

  • Develop healthier coping mechanisms and self-compassion

  • Reconnect with your body in a safe and empowering way

  • Work at your own pace, in alignment with your readiness and goals

We recognize that food is often not the core issue—it’s a symptom of deeper distress. Our clinicians work collaboratively with clients to uncover those deeper layers, helping you heal from the inside out.

How This Differs from Traditional Eating Disorder Treatment

Unlike highly structured, clinical eating disorder programs (such as inpatient or intensive outpatient levels of care), our individual therapy services:

  • Are tailored to you – No rigid protocols. Your therapist works collaboratively with you to create a personalized plan.

  • Support autonomy and flexibility – Sessions are paced to your needs and comfort, allowing you to lead your healing journey.

  • Can be a starting point or a next step – Ideal for individuals who aren’t ready for—or no longer need—higher levels of care, but still want focused, meaningful support.

We do not provide medical monitoring, nutritional counseling, or meal support. However, we can collaborate with your broader care team (including dietitians, physicians, or higher-level programs) to ensure holistic, integrated care.

Who We Help

We work with teens and adults of all genders and identities who are struggling with:

  • Body image distress

  • Chronic dieting and the restrict-binge cycle

  • Emotional or compulsive eating

  • Orthorexia or an obsession with “clean” eating

  • Shame, secrecy, and food-related anxiety

  • Disordered eating tied to trauma, identity, or life transitions

Whether you have a formal diagnosis (like anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorder) or simply feel like your relationship with food is interfering with your well-being—we’re here to help.
