Christine Flay is a Licensed Associate Counselor who works with children (9+), teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, and bipolar disorder. She also assists clients navigating self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. Christine is dedicated to providing a nonjudgmental environment where every individual feels truly accepted and heard, believing this is where the healing process begins.

Christine earned her master’s degree from Arcadia University and has four years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health and recovery journeys. She brings a collaborative, personalized approach to her clinical work. She helps clients gain self-understanding and foster lasting change by integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions.

In her sessions, Christine takes a holistic view, examining the social, psychological, and biological factors that impact a client’s life. Together, they establish manageable, personalized goals to build momentum and confidence. To support progress outside of sessions, she may also incorporate journaling and mindfulness exercises.

Christine’s career path was profoundly influenced by her own mental health journey. Having received compassionate care during her own difficult times, she was inspired to provide that same emotional safety and resilience to others. For Christine, it is a privilege to support clients in their most vulnerable moments, and she finds deep reward in witnessing them discover their own strength and capacity for growth. When appropriate, she also incorporates mindfulness practices and journaling exercises to support growth between sessions.

Christine's journey into the counseling profession was deeply shaped by her own experiences with mental health. Receiving compassionate support during difficult chapters of her life inspired her to become the kind of therapist who helps others find emotional safety, resilience, and a stronger connection to their authentic selves. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients during their most vulnerable moments and believes there is nothing more rewarding than witnessing someone recognize their own capacity to heal and grow.

Outside of the therapy office, Christine enjoys reading fiction, spending time with her family, taking long walks, and relaxing with her cats. She prioritizes her own well-being through meditation, journaling, time outdoors, and finding inspiration in books and meaningful content.
