Christie Babilonia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience supporting children, youth, and adults through challenges related to anxiety, executive functioning, and emotion regulation. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Rutgers University and has developed a clinical style that blends evidence-based practice with creativity and empathy.

Christie’s work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, strength-based approaches, and somatic techniques. Her therapeutic style is adaptable, allowing her to meet clients where they are and tailor each session based on their needs, goals, and preferences. Whether working with a child, adolescent, or adult, Christie’s clients can expect a space grounded in authenticity, dedication, and guidance.

She incorporates mindfulness, somatic practices, and playful interventions when appropriate to support clients in developing self-awareness, decreasing anxiety, strengthening coping skills, and improving emotional resilience. Christie believes in the power of reflective listening and empathy as foundational tools for creating effective, individualized care.

Christie is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. She has extensive experience supporting diverse populations and deeply values the opportunity to walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges. From helping young clients develop routines and executive functioning skills to supporting adults through periods of stress, growth, or anxiety, Christie approaches each client with compassion and curiosity.

What drew Christie to the field of social work was a natural desire to help others, which became a calling after taking an introductory social work class in college. She continues to be inspired by her clients’ growth, noting that the most meaningful part of her work is seeing improvements in mood, functioning, and confidence. “There’s no better feeling than watching a client thrive,” she says.

Outside of her work, Christie is an avid traveler and world explorer. She also enjoys reading, watching Korean dramas and anime, and playing volleyball. For self-care, she finds grounding by stepping outside, taking deep breaths, and reconnecting with the present. She also swears by a great massage to reset and recharge.
