Alex is a Graduate Intern at Mind, Body, and Soul Therapy & Counseling, where he brings a supportive and collaborative approach to the therapeutic space. Alex is committed to creating a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore difficult topics.
Alex is currently pursuing his Master’s in Social Work and has a background in psychology and wellness. He has experience as a certified yoga teacher and wellness coach, and often integrates mindfulness, breathing exercises, and creative approaches into his work when appropriate. His therapeutic style draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems, with a client-centered approach that emphasizes flexibility, honesty, and collaboration.
He has a particular interest in supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, and substance misuse, but enjoys working with a wide variety of clients. Alex values safety and trust in the therapeutic process, recognizing that meaningful growth happens when clients feel supported and respected for who they are.
Outside of his professional role, Alex enjoys spending time with his family, practicing yoga, cycling, swimming, lifting, and going on walks with his boyfriend, Petey. He finds joy in reading, watching classic films, and maintaining a mindful routine through journaling, meditation, and time in nature.
Alex believes that “with every change, there is a loss,” and approaches his work with compassion for the challenges and opportunities that transitions bring.
