Alex Hiatt believes that therapy is a collaborative space where clients can better understand themselves, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. He works with teens, older adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic stress, life transitions, trauma, relationship concerns, burnout, and difficulties with emotional regulation.

Alex earned his Master of Social Work from Rowan University after completing dual bachelor's degrees in Psychology and English at Kenyon College. He integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic approaches, and mindfulness-based interventions to support clients in developing greater resilience, flexibility, and self-awareness.

Alex's approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens at the intersection of the mind, body, relationships, and the environments we live in. He recognizes that emotional challenges are influenced by our experiences, nervous systems, relationships, and the broader systems that shape our lives. Together, you will explore not only thoughts and emotions, but also the wisdom of the body, helping you move beyond simply surviving toward a life that feels more connected and aligned with your values.

Alex values creating an affirming, inclusive, and compassionate therapeutic space where every client's unique experiences and identities are respected. He views therapy as a partnership, helping clients develop the insight, confidence, and tools to navigate life's challenges while embracing both self-acceptance and meaningful growth.

Outside of the therapy room, Alex enjoys traveling with his family, taking neighborhood walks with his dog Petey, reading, spending time at the beach, listening to music, watching classic films, and maintaining his own wellness through meditation, journaling, yoga, and daily exercise.
