Sabrina Starts is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and a National Certified Counselor with five years of experience supporting clients through a wide range of mental health challenges. She specializes in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, life transitions, and grief. Sabrina works with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults (ages 5 to 50). She is deeply committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for each person she works with.

Sabrina brings a supportive and collaborative style to therapy, striving to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where clients can better understand, challenge, and value themselves. She views her role as a “therapeutic GPS”—helping clients map out their journey using a personalized approach grounded in evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused techniques. She also encourages ongoing feedback to ensure therapy stays aligned with each client’s evolving needs and goals.

Depending on the client’s interests and preferences, sessions may incorporate talk therapy, structured worksheets, mindfulness, creative expression through art or music, and even play therapy strategies. Sabrina is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally competent, and she feels honored to be part of each client’s journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Sabrina earned her Master’s degree in Professional Clinical Counseling from La Salle University. She finds deep meaning in supporting clients as they uncover their strengths, face their challenges, and learn to believe in their inherent worth and resilience.

Outside of the therapy room, Sabrina enjoys music and concerts, dancing, visiting theme parks, video games, and beach days. Her self-care practices include spending time with her cats, playing and listening to music, yoga and meditation, and being in nature.
