Jack McFadden is a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University, where he focused on mental health and substance misuse. Jack works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, supporting clients through a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, substance use, emotional regulation, and existential or spiritual concerns.

Jack draws from a variety of clinical approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Humanistic/Person-Centered Therapy. His approach is collaborative and responsive, prioritizing client comfort and pacing while gently challenging self-limiting beliefs when appropriate. He strives to help clients live more in alignment with their values by building self-awareness, identifying patterns, and developing healthy coping strategies.

Clients can expect a thoughtful, structured, and supportive environment where they feel understood. Jack focuses on helping individuals recognize the triggers behind unhelpful behaviors and emotions, develop tools for managing distress, and create meaningful change in their lives. He frequently incorporates mindfulness techniques—such as meditation and present-moment awareness—into therapy for clients who are open to it, supporting a deeper connection to self and lasting behavioral change.

Jack is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and neurodiversity-aware. He values learning from both ongoing training and his work with diverse clients, and he is committed to tailoring therapy to each client’s needs, goals, and lived experience.

Jack was drawn to the field by a deep interest in human behavior and a desire to help others feel seen and supported in a world that can often feel isolating. He finds it especially meaningful when clients begin to feel hope again after struggling with long-standing emotional pain or behavioral patterns. Helping clients imagine new possibilities is, to him, one of the most rewarding parts of the work.

Outside the office, Jack enjoys being outdoors with his family, watching science fiction shows, gardening, and spending time with friends. His go-to self-care includes meditation, journaling, and regular exercise.

A favorite quote that reflects his therapeutic perspective is:

“In my life I've known many troubles, and most of them never happened.” – Mark Twain
