Jess is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rowan University. She has over a decade of counseling experience with children and families, and also enjoys clinically supervising associate counselors. Jess emphasizes the use of evidence-based treatments in her practice, and educating her clients as to the therapeutic process.

Jess specializes in working with children and adolescents with disruptive behavior, ADHD, Autism, anxiety, trauma, and LGBTQ+ concerns. Her work with adults has centered on parenting, LGBTQ+ related issues and anxiety. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Jess also utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing as appropriate with her clients.

In addition to using effective treatments, Jess highly values the development of a strong therapeutic rapport to support clients through their treatment. She takes an empathic and nonjudgmental approach to establishing the therapeutic relationship. It’s important to her that she and her clients have a thorough understanding of the treatment goals, and how they will work together to achieve the desired outcome. She believes therapy is a collaborative and active process for both the therapist and client, and values establishing a trusting and open therapeutic relationship.

Jess currently resides in the South Jersey area with her family. She enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors, and woodworking projects in her spare time.
